WELCOME SCREEN

• Log In Button – top right hand corner
• Click this button to go to the Log In screen if you have already signed up

• KommunityKoin and User Guide Buttons
• Click these to be redirected the the corresponding websites for additional information about how to use KoinPurse.com

• Sign Up Button 
• Click the button to be redirected to the Sign Up screen. https://www.koinpurse.com/terms

• Get Newsletter Button – Click this button to be redirected to the Newsletter sign up screen at KommunityKoin.com. All users should sign up for the newsletter as this is the way that we send updates and information about KoinPurse and KommunityKoin to users.

• Contact Button – Click this button to send us an email through KommunityKoin.com. There is also a DM feature at KommunityKoin.com but it may not always be attended live by our staff. Email is the preferred method of communication.

• If you are signed in, you will see the Navigation Menu at the bottom of the screen
  1. Home Button – this button will return you, at any time, to the Homescreen
  2. KoinPurse Button – this button takes you to your KoinPurse
  3. QR-Code Button – this button shows your personal QR-Code
  4. Profile Button – this button takes you to your Profile

SIGN UP SCREEN

• Enter Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Password.

• Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions (read the terms first).

• Click the Sign Up button at the bottom of the screen.

• You will receive an automated phone call giving you a 6 digit one-time passcode...The automated call will ask you to press a key to accept the call then give you the six digit one-time passcode. The voice will repeat the code three times. Write down the code then enter it into the KoinPurse app in the field provided. When you enter the six digit one-time passcode into the app, the numbers that you are typing don't show up but the cursor moves to the next box - so the numbers are being typed in, you just won't see them. 

• Note: you may need to turn off your spam call filter to receive the call prior to signing up.

• You will be prompted to check your email to verify your email address...click the blue "here" that is in the verification email. 

• Note: sometimes it can take a few minutes to receive the email, especially with yahoo email addresses - gmail is much faster. If the email isn't in your inbox, check the spam folder.

• You will be redirected to the Home Screen. 

• Click the KoinPurse icon at the bottom of the screen (second icon from the left). You will see that you have 0 Koins in your KoinPurse - click the Subscribe button. This will walk you through the subscription process where you will enter your payment information.

• We charge a modest $3 monthly fee (billed in US dollars) to users to help cover the costs of:
  1. App and website development and technical maintenance
  2. Hosting and software services
  3. Administrative support
  4. Other business operations
  5. Excess proceeds may be donated to charity

• This fee does not grant ownership or purchase of Koins, and is not tied to the value of time donated or anything else. 

• You will be redirected to your KoinPurse where you will find that you now have 100 Koins.

• Now start the fun of using Koins with members of your Kommunity.

LOG IN SCREEN

• Enter your Email address and Password Note: email and password are case sensitive.

• Click Sign In.

• You are redirected to your KoinPurse.

• From this screen you can also:
  1. Sign Up if not already signed up.
  2. Recover forgotten password.

KOINPURSE SCREEN (From here you can)

• See your name.

• See your email address (which is your unique account identifier).

• See how many Koins you have.
  1. When you subscribe, you automatically receive 100 Koins.
  2. Your KoinPurse is limited to a 300 Koin maximum. 

  
  

• Provide your QR-Code to someone else to receive Koins from them (in person).

• Scan someone else’s QR-Code (in person) to send them Koins.

• Send Koins (without scanning QR-Code) by clicking the Send Koins button and entering the email of the recipient and the number of Koins to be sent. Note: the email address in case sensitive.

• Note: the sending of Koins can not be reversed so be certain of the destination and the amount before pressing the send button. You will also get a warning window before sending

• Log Out by clicking the Down Arrow in the upper right corner of the screen.

• See Notifications (Koin history) by clicking the Bell Icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

• Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

• Note: the Navigation Buttons are located at the bottom of the screen.

• KoinPurse is designed to promote community participation. Whether used as a gesture of recognition—like a challenge coin—or as a fun way to gamify volunteering and engagement, Koins make social responsibility both meaningful and enjoyable.

• Nature of Koins
  1. Koins are not currency.
  2. They have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, earned, transferred for money, used for compensation, or redeemed for any financial purposes.
  3. There is never an obligation to give or receive Koins. Koins are a voluntary acknowledegment of donated time.
  4. Koins serve to make more meaningful and gamify the experience of community service. 
  5. All donated time is voluntary and is intended for personal, household, or community benefit, not for business or professional purposes.

• Tax and Legal Standing/Transparency and Accountability
  • Participants are held solely responsible if their use of the platform deviates from the intended community-based, volunteer principles.
  • Our platform is designed to operate in alignment with the values of equity, reciprocity, and volunteer service. We are committed to staying within the IRS’s guidelines for time-based volunteer mutual aid systems.

PROFILE SCREEN (From here you can)

• Change the account User Name (just change it then press "save").

• Change the account Email Address (just change it then press "save". you will be prompted from there what to do next).
• Note: be very careful that you enter the correct new email address because if you enter someone else's email by mistake, they may be able to claim your account.

• Change the Password (you will be prompted from there what to do next).

• Change the Payment Method (current payment method is displayed in window).

• Unsubscribe.

• Note: if you unsubscribe, there are no prorated refunds, or any other kind of refund, of subscription already paid and you can not resubscribe for six months. However, after unsubscribing, you will no longer be billed for any further subscription fees.
