Purpose of Kula.today (KoinPurse) 

Kula.today (KoinPurse) is designed to promote community participation and make social responsibility both meaningful and enjoyable.

Nature of Kula (Koins)

1. Kula (Koins) is not currency.

2. They have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, earned, transferred for money, used for compensation, or redeemed for any financial purposes.

3. There is never an obligation to give or receive Kula (Koins). It is a voluntary acknowledgment of donated time.

4. Kula (Koins) serve to make more meaningful and gamify the experience of community service. 

5. All donated time is voluntary and is intended for personal, household, or community benefit, not for business or professional purposes.

Monthly Subscription Fee

We charge a modest $7 monthly fee to users to help cover the costs of:

1. App and website development and technical maintenance

2. Hosting and software services

3. Administrative support

4. Other business operations

5. Excess proceeds may be donated to charity

This fee does not grant ownership or purchase of Kula (Koins), and is not tied to the value of time donated or anything else. 

Tax and Legal Standing

Participants are held solely responsible if their use of the platform deviates from the intended community-based, volunteer principles.

Transparency and Accountability

Our platform is designed to operate in alignment with the values of community, equity, reciprocity, and volunteer service. We are committed to staying within the IRS’s guidelines for time-based volunteer mutual support systems.

If our model ever changes in a way that might affect its status, we will update this policy immediately.

Kommunities created through Kula.today (KoinPurse), KommunityKoin, KommunityHub or related platforms are independently organized and operated by their respective creators and members. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these Kommunities are not owned, managed, supervised, endorsed, or controlled by KommunityKoin, KommunityHub, KoinPurse, Kula.today, or GotKoin, LLC. KommunityKoin serves primarily as an educational and community-building ecosystem focused on topics such as time co-ops, time banking, social capital, reciprocity, and community participation. KommunityHub provides a platform where individuals and groups may connect, organize, and strengthen Kommunity relationships. KoinPurse (Kula.today) is intended solely as a participation and community-engagement tool designed to encourage contribution, recognition, and involvement within Kommunities. Each Kommunity is solely responsible for its own activities, leadership, decisions, communications, events, member interactions, and operations. Participation in any Kommunity, online or offline, is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion and risk. We do not guarantee, screen, supervise, verify, or warrant the conduct, safety, legality, reliability, or actions of individual Kommunities or their members. Users are solely responsible for exercising appropriate judgment, caution, and personal responsibility in all interactions and activities associated with the Platform or any independent Kommunity.
